Giving back to Special Fans [ 2. May. 2010 - 08:05]
Saturday night The Ace, his wife Tiffany and crew memeber Luigi went to the BMX Track in Oldsmar to give back to some special fans. After the sprintcar races on 4/17/10 at DeSoto Speedway, the next day the ace receive the below email:
Joey, Drove down from Oldsmar with my Dad and 11 year old son Dylan to see the TBARA sprints.We come support you guys when ever you race at Desoto.My son is a big fan of "THE ACE" and we all love your hard charging race style. Saturday night was not the same without you in the feature. My son was bumed out and wanted to know what happened to the #78 sprint car. 3# of your biggest fans, Dylan, Don Jr. and Don SR.
This e-mail touched the aces heart, as everyone knows he is always very thankful for fans that come out and support Sprintcar Racing. Through a couple emails back and forth, thanking them for their support not only for the Ace and the Miller Motorsports Team, but also supporting Race Tracks in Florida. Thats what makes it possible for us to race.
At the BMX Track Saturday night The Ace felt at home as Dylan not only won his Moto, but Won the Main Event as well. As everyone knows winning is not everything, It's the only thing. But having fun is the most important. Dylan was very excited to see the Ace there . Prior the Ace had mailed Dylan a shirt and Autographed card and his dad e-mailed back saying Dylan loved the shirt and card and wears his shirt while racing. After the victory Saturday Night the Ace Sponsored Dylan by getting him a Jersey with matching colors of the Miller Motorsports team as Dylan requested. He now moves up to the next division. ( quote by the Ace - People like Dylan and his Family and their support to me is what keeps me from doubting the way I conduct myself on and off the track)
The Ace plans to be back at the BMX track in Oldsmar on May 8th not only to support Dylan, but also working with the track to raise money for the Cancer foundation. Also want to thank the track promoter Mike White for thanking us and the team for coming out Saturday night. Mike should be getting with me this week and we are planning to do a walk around the track with the ace for donation with all the money raised going to the Cancer foundation. The Ace will have autograph cards, All his safety gear he wears while racing. If your are interested in supporting the cancer foundation, you should come out and support the cause. And also see some great BMX Racing ranging in all ages.
We will be there to support our #1 BMX racer Dylan and the cancer foundation.
