Racing Up North [20. Jun. 2010 - 09:22]

Racing up north was everything the ace could have imagined and more. It was a pleasure to race with some professional organizations like the AVBBSS, Hoss and lets not leave out the USCS. The way these organizations run there programs from A-Z is something the ace has never seen before and surely can be appreciated . One thing for sure, all 3 of these organizations welcomed the ace with open arms and alot of respect. From the drivers, to the officials and the tracks, it made the ace feel at home, which is something he has lacked in his racing career. The ace looks forward to racing more up north this year and Coach has big plans for racing up north next year.

Here is an article from the AVBBSS :

BLONDE SCORES FIRST AVBBSSWIN OF 2010 AT TOLEDO
By Linda Bloom
Toledo, OH (6/11) The Auto Value Bumper to Bumper Super Sprints headlined the 2010 “Fastest Short Track Show in the World” Friday night at Toledo Speedway, with Derek Snyder setting a new track record of 12.656 seconds around the ½ mile high-banked oval, for an average speed of 142.225 miles per hour.
There were 24 cars on hand, with the 3 heat wins going to Jimmy McCune ahead of Dave Baumgartner and Snyder; Bill Tyler over Hank Lower and Chad Goff; and Ryan Litt followed by Curt Shumaker and female driver Sondi Eden.
Snyder rolled a 6 for the feature inversion, and Chad Goff took off for the initial lead in the 30 lap contest. The red flag flew when David Price II hit the wall coming off turn 4 and flipped on his side. It was a scarey moment, as the leaders were all coming through the 3-4 turns, and just missed the disabled car. On the restart, Goff suffered mechanical ills and dropped out. At the end of 30 laps, Jason Blonde was the winner by a narrow margin over Litt, McCune, Eddie Kelley, Jeff Bloom, Jim Swain, Geoff Kaiser, Tyler, Eden and Kevin Feeney.
The AVBBSS would like to welcome Florida driver Joey Aguilar, who made his first start with us. Unfortunately, Joey suffered mechanical ills also, after running very competitively in hot laps.
Please join us for our 2-day 4th of July weekend, when we will appear at Dixie Speedway in Birch Run, MI on Friday, July 2nd and Owosso (MI) Speedway on Saturday, July 3rd.

The ace would like to thank all the AVBBSS Officials, drivers and crew members for treating us with respect. Cant wait to race with them again this year.

As far as Anderson Saturday night, we would like to thank the HOSS organization and Anderson Speedway for the same kind of treatment we received from the AVBBSS. From the drivers, crews and the organization. Once again I know we stated this a couple times, but it felt great to go race and not have to worry about anything. The race at Anderson Saturday night had 20 competitors and hot laps was rather interesting for the team, as we struggled as a team. Running times of 11.5 which was a lot off the pace. But as always the team gathered together after hot laps and the crew chief put on a mega set up and the ace went out cold turkey for qualifying. Before the green dropped, the crew noticed the ace had jacked the wing up and as they held their breath and qualifying ended, the ace laid down a 10.82 and had the whole team jumping up and down. As that put us 7th and in the hunt. Ran the heat race and the ace finished 3rd with an old right rear tire. When the pil draw was done for the inversion, the #7 was pulled putting the ace on the pole for the main event. Now lets think about this..... The crew got the car right, the ace has almost got the place figured out, and the ace had smiles on his face waiting for the main event to arrive. We all know with the ace on the pole, the car running good, a tough track to pass on, and a little bit of good luck, Im sure the #78 Miller Motorsports would have had its first 410 wing sprintcar win in the second outting running.  But unfortunatley Mother Nature won the race by raining the event out.

The ace would like to thank the Hoss organization  for treatig not only him, but also the whole team with a lot of respect

The ace would like to thank Kim and Shane Miller and their 2 sons, his crew chief Tre Pissott, the cast of characters, his wife & son, and all his great sponsors Premier Miller, Gibbs and  Parnell, Park Place MRI, Simpson, JRE Enginees, NGK Spark Plugs, K&N, Tampa Smoothies. Without all these people it would not be possible for the ace to be living his dream. Looking forward to going back racing up north real soon.
